A young orator and performer based in Lisbon, Ashlesha speaks Portuguese, English, Hindi and Marathi. Her speaking work includes Hindi poetry recitation at Vishwa Hindi Divas at the Faculdade de Letras, Universidade de Lisboa.

Ashlesha Ravindra Barmukh lives in Lisbon and has roots in Pune, Maharashtra. Her practice moves between spoken language, Kathak, Bollywood, poetry and cultural storytelling.

Through performances at community celebrations, university programmes and international events, she shares Indian heritage with audiences in Portugal and brings those experiences into her work. Her ambition is to build understanding through language and the performing arts.
